After my latest article about my trip with Mionetto, here I have a new review for you, this time I'll tell you more about my trip to Venice with Starwood where I did spend some nice days at The Gritti Palace. (The Gritti is member of the Luxury Collection which counts 85 hotels around the world!) So thanks to Starwood and the Gritti Palace I was able to enjoy 3 amazing days in Venice with my dear friend Jacky, the lovely Nel from the Blog Her Etiquette and 2 other journalists. The Gritti is a very beautiful & classy accommodation and I really felt comfortable from the first minute... (the place was build by the way in 1475 by family Pisani) So, our first day began pretty awesome with a 4 hour boat cruise which we started at the Riva Lounge, which is the elegant terrace of the Gritti and where you can enjoy a spectacular view on the cathedral Santa Maria della Salute. The Riva boat with which we were cruisin can also be rented by the hotel guests of course (per 350€ / hour, max. 7 people) and it is really perfect for having a cozy boat tour - but it's also lots of fun if you're looking for some speed - we could figure that out by ourselves too ;) After that experience we were meeting up with Paolo (who is the General Manager of the hotel) and the lovely girls from Starwood PR Italy to have dinner in the hotel's Restaurant Club del Doge with a stunning view on Venice / The canal. (The Gritti is by the way only a few steps away from the famous "St. Mark's square"). The food was really delicious and the venetian cuisine is simply amazing. No wonder that also a lot of famous celebs regularly stay at the Gritti! This is for sure not only referable to the culinary but also to the  whole charming flair of the house... The Gritti offers 61 Rooms and 21 Suites, all decorated very elegant & unique and it also owns the biggest roof terrace of the whole city! Oh and by the way, if you don't want to relax and get served all the time, you could also get active by yourself, for example visiting the Epicurean Cooking School (Also located in the hotel) and take part in wine tasting or cooking classes - We had the possibility to do that and prepared together with chef Daniele a very tasty lunch for us... :) It was so much fun and really interesting! So as you can probably imagine my stay in the Gritti Palace was really amazing, of course also thanks to the lovely Starwood girls and Paolo, with whom we had such a fantastic & funny time and some tasty Bellinis as well. The whole Team and of course also the Service/staff was just flawless and we had such a great time in Venice. I can really recommend you the Gritti Palace for your next Venice trip - and make sure to also have a Bellini there, you won't regret it... ;)

Nach meinem letzten Reise-Blogpost mit Mionetto geht es nun weiter mit meiner Story über The Gritti Palace Venedig! (Das Gritti gehört zur exklusiven Luxury Collection, welche weltweit 85 Hotels zählt) Dank Starwood und dem Gritti konnte ich zusammen mit meiner Freundin Jacky und der lieben Nel vom Blog Her Etiquette ein paar wunderbare Tage in Venedig verbringen. Starwood lud uns (und 2 Journalisten) ein, das legendäre Gritti kennen zu lernen und den Charm des Hauses (welches bereits 1475 von der Familie Pisani erbaut wurde) erleben zu können... Das fing an Tag 1 mit einer knapp 4-stündigen Bootstour an welche wir vom hauseigenen Anlegesteg der Riva Lounge starteten, der eleganten Terrasse des Gritti von der aus man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Kathedrale Santa Maria della Salute hat. Das Rivaboot kann übrigens exklusiv von den Hotelgästen gemietet werden (Preis: 350€ / Stunde, max. 7 Leute)  und ist einfach perfekt für eine gemütliche Tour - aber auch klasse wenn man es richtig schell mag! Davon konnten wir uns selbst überzeugen ;) Nach unserer Tour durften wir dann zusammen mit dem Mädels von Starwood PR Italy und Paolo (welcher der General Manager des Hotels ist) ein köstliches Dinner auf der Terrasse des Club del Doge Restaurants genießen, mit einem herrlichen Ausblick auf Venedig. (Das Gritti liegt übrigens nur wenige Schritte vom bekannten "Markusplatz" entfernt) Die venezianische Küche ist einfach traumhaft und das Essen im Gritti wirklich sehr schmackhaft. Kein Wunder dass das Gritti weltbekannte Prominente zu seinen Stammgästen zählen kann! Das liegt natürlich nicht nur an der Kulinarik sondern am gesamten Flair des Hauses. Das Gritti verfügt insgesamt über 61 Zimmer und 21 Suiten welche alle mit ihrem eleganten und dennoch nicht aufdringlichen Charm verzaubern, zudem vergüt es auch über die größte Dachterrasse der Stadt... Wer sich nicht nur verwöhnen lassen will sondern während seines Aufenthalts auch selbst einmal etwas aktiv werden will, der kann z.B. einen kleinen Abstecher in die Epicurean Cooking School machen (ebenfalls im Hotel gelegen) und in der open kitchen beispielsweise an Weinverkostungen oder Koch-Workshops teilnehmen -  wir hatten das Vergnügen und haben zusammen mit dem Chefkoch Daniele einen köstlichen Lunch für uns zubereitet... :) Mein Aufenthalt im Gritti Palace war also, wie ihr es euch sicherlich denken könnt, rundum gelungen, das lag natürlich auch an Paolo und den lieben Starwood-Mädels mit denen wir eine tolle Zeit hatten und uns den ein oder anderen Bellini gegönnt haben. Das gesamte Team und der Service waren wirklich spitze und das Gritti kann ich euch für euren nächsten Venedig-Trip wirklich sehr ans Herzen legen... und gönnt euch dort unbedingt einen Bellini... ihr werdet es nicht bereuen! ;)
